GRAND PRIZE GOES TO R&C’S WORK WITH AARP ON “DINNER WITH DON”
Rogers & Cowan has snagged the grand prize, two gold and three silver honors in the Bulldog Media PR Awards. The top PR campaign of 2017 went to “Dinner with Don,” a 13-episode digital series starring the king of insult comedy, Don Rickles, sharing meals, stories and quips with popular younger entertainers like Jimmy Kimmel, Paul Rudd, Amy Poehler and Judd Apatow.
The branded content, from AARP Studios, transcended generations and appealed to a broad demographic audience, propelled by R&C’s extensive celebrity influencer campaign and targeted media push. For the beloved comedian’s final project (he passed away shortly after filming the episodes), R&C garnered a total of 2.8 billion impressions and 690 media placements — all through earned media, not paid advertising. Read more here about the project that took the grand prize and two additional gold honors. Our silver award winners include “Elton John Bids Farewell to the Road,” “Prive Revaux Eyewear Launch” and “My Little Pony: The Movie ‘Rainbow’ Music Video.”
The Bulldog Awards are handed out in 37 categories across digital, social media, non-profit, corporate social responsibility and media relations. Entries are judged on a number of factors including the project’s goals, strategy, execution, results and innovation.
