Actor Riz Ahmed Lands Early Wins for his role as Ruben in the Amazon Original Movie “Sound of Metal” Before heading into this week of award nomination announcements, R&CPMK Entertainment client Riz Ahmed already had a few wins under his belt for his portrayal of Ruben, a deaf musician, in the Amazon Original Movie “Sound of Metal.” He was named the winner for the Best Actor Award by the National Board of Review and New York Film Critics Online and was named the winner of the Male Actor Award by the Palm Springs International Film Festival. Also honored by PSIFF with the Spotlight Award was fellow R&CPMK Entertainment client, actor Leslie Odom Jr. for his portrayal of Sam Cooke in the Amazon Original Movie “One Night in Miami.” Nominations were announced late last week and earlier this week for upcoming awards programs such as the Film Independent Spirit Awards, GLAAD Media Awards, NAACP Image Awards, Golden Globe Awards, SAG Awards, Writers Guild Awards and Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards with R&CPMK clients picking up nominations across the board.
