Chronic idiopathic urticaria, or CIU, is the medical term for chronic hives that have no known cause. The campaign CIU & YOU was established to educate consumers about signs and symptoms. To build awareness, we integrated Novartis and Genentech’s CIU & You Campaign into a top-rated daytime talk show. AUTHENTIC CONVERSATIONS We recommended a paid integration with The Talk, CBS’s Daytime Emmy Award-winning talk show that greatly aligns with the campaign’s target audience of women 31-60. The integration was also an opportunity to feature the brand’s spokesperson Vicki Lawrence and a healthcare provider, to help raise awareness and educate consumers about CIU and drive traffic to the newly refreshed campaign website while securing additional digital and social content extensions. We worked hand in hand with the network and production to negotiate the integration elements, develop the custom creative and execute the integration in a full segment featuring the show’s hosts Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood sitting down with Vicki Lawrence as she looked back on both her career and journey with CIU, and featuring Allergist Dr. Travis Miller seated in the front row who provided additional facts and key messaging.
